Mindfulness Based Educational Program
Centered Recovery takes its educational curriculum very seriously. Our clients come to us because our program is very different from other recovery centers–we pride ourselves on sharing an understanding of how the experience of life–and everything in it, from relationships to addiction–is formed. In that understanding, clients experience insights into their own life, their struggles and successes, and learn how to “hack” this understanding to live their best life, mentally healthy and free from their addictions once and for all.
Guest Speakers Chat Directly with Clients
Centered Recovery is proud to host certain guest speakers for our clients, understanding that having various voices speak increases the likelihood that clients will have insights that will change their lives, and we don’t choose those speakers carelessly. We have hand picked them for their expertise, their wisdom, and their creativity in their fields, and we are ecstatic to introduce our first guest speaker: Jill Whalen.
Jill Whalen is the author of the transformative book Victim of Thought: Seeing Through the Illusion of Anxiety and is a well-known and renowned inspirational speaker. She has spoken on a variety of topics such as happiness and peace, authentic marketing, and hosts a fun video series called “Wisdom on the Water”, in which she discusses her thoughts while kayaking or paddle-boarding. She has been a guest on numerous radio and internet shows and brings her practicality and humor to each.
You can find out more about Jill on her website, www.whatdidyoudowithjill.com and subscribe to her YouTube channel here. Don’t forget to pick up a copy of her book from Amazon or your local bookstore–it’s a client favorite that we can’t keep in stock!
Client comments from Jill’s conversation with them:
“She was really great! I love how simply she explains everything!”
“I really enjoyed that chat. I loved her analogies about her husband and relationship-they really hit home for me….”
“The chat with Jill was excellent. She’s clearly really grounded in her life, because she doesn’t try to complicate things. She makes it seem so simple and beautiful. I already sent her channel to my wife to watch, because I’m hoping she (my wife) will understand what I’ve been trying to explain to her about what I’ve learned. It’s crazy because she talks about it so effortlessly, but that’s exactly it! Good stuff!”
